Naziriya, a Darshaan half sister to Prix du Jockey-Club winner Natroun, headed a good sale for the Aga Khan Studs draft of mares at Goffs, when sold for €140,000 to Ennistown Stud.

Ruairi O’Coileain commented after buying the mare: “There aren’t any more Darshaans coming and Naziriya has already produced a Group II winner.”

The next highest bid for a filly from the Aga Khan Studs came for the three year old filly Sharafanya. By Zafonic, this filly is out of a winning half sister to the exceptional Shergar. Herself a half sister to the Stakes placed Shalamantika, she was eventually knocked down to Herbertstown Stud for €72,000.

Another popular mare was Tarakana who was sold to The Beeches Stud for €57,000. Out of a half sister to several Group winners, including Tassmoun and Tashtiya, Tarakana has already produced four winners, including as the two year old filly Tarakala, who recently finished second in the Listed Eyrefield Stakes.
