The Haras de Bonneval’s SIYOUNI provided the standout lot of Goffs recent November Foal Sale, as his daughter attracted a bid of €775,000 to join Shadwell. The blue-blooded filly was presented by Castlebridge Consignment as part of the Wildenstein Dispersal and she hails from one of the operation’s top families, being a granddaughter of champion mare Aquarelliste. The elegant foal is out of the Listed-placed daughter of Galileo, Amerique, half-sister to three Stakes performers, and also shares her page with dual Group 1 winner Artiste Royal. Her third dam, Agathe, was runner-up in the Gr. 1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches and third in the Gr.1 Prix de Diane.
Named A Nous La Liberté, this daughter of Classic sire SIYOUNI was knocked down to Stephen Collins, acting on behalf of Shadwell Estate. He remarked to the Racing Post, “She's a lovely, lovely filly, just gorgeous in every way. She has the looks, the walk, the pedigree and I hope she'll have the racing career to go with it. Hopefully she will become a successful addition to our broodmare band. We bought a couple of SIYOUNI yearlings in Deauville and we have sent him one or two mares before and we will send him a couple again in the spring, but this filly really was gorgeous. ”
The Aga Khan Studs’ Gilltown resident SEA THE STARS was also among the most sought-after sires as his son out of Gr.3 Prix d’Aumale victrix Quad’s Melody was the fifth-highest priced foal of the sale when changing hands for €240,000. The colt, who was bought by Rabbah Bloodstock, is a half-brother to three winners including dual Gr. 2 scorer Here Comes When.
Rabbah Bloodstock purchased a second six-figure son of Arc hero SEA THE STARS when successful at €180,000 for lot 1072. Closely related to Gr. 2 winner and Irish Oaks second Banimpire, this colt is a great grandson of champion filly Detroit, dam of Gr. 1 winner and sire Carnegie.
