The Aga Khan Studs’ Classic sires SEA THE STARS and SIYOUNI both boast a strong hand of beautifully-bred yearlings at the prestigious Goffs Orby Sale on 2nd and 3rd October.
Arc hero SEA THE STARS, who has shone this season thanks to star performers SEA OF CLASS and STRADIVARIUS as well as Group 2 scorers CRYSTAL OCEAN, Knight to Behold and NIGHT MUSIC, is represented by 11 yearlings in the Goffs Orby catalogue.
Among the attractions by the Gilltown Stud sire are lot 204, a grey filly out of black-type mare BITE OF THE CHERRY (Dalakhani), herself a daughter of champion juvenile Bianca Nera who is dam or granddam of several Group winners including Postponed and recent Gr.2 Park Hill Stakes winner God Given. Lot 320 hails from a top-class German family, as his Listed-placed dam Guardia (Monsun) is a full sister to champions Getaway and Guadalupe. Lot 132 is a full sister to the Listed winner and Group placed TASHAAR, out of the Listed runner-up Three Moons (Montjeu) who is a half-sister to globetrotting Group 1 sprinter The Right Man. Lot 366 is the first produce of dual winner Laughing Dove (Tamayuz), and the granddaughter of champion Irish juvenile filly Asfurah, while lots 388 and 412 are both out of own sisters to Group 1 winners.
Leading French-based stallion SIYOUNI has also enjoyed a spectacular season through the exploits of his four-time Group 1 winning daughter LAURENS and also high-class sprinter City Light.
Nine of his progeny will go under the hammer at Goffs and these include lot 123, out of Stakes placed and producer Teeba (Seeking The Gold), who is a daughter of champion 2yo filly Shadayid, lot 146 who is a half-brother to champion juvenile filly VIZTORIA, out of Listed winner Viz (DARSHAAN), and lot 177, the half-brother to three Stakes scorers, out of a DARSHAAN half-sister to Hernando. Lot 149 is out of a half-sister to champion 3yo sprinter Zipping, and lot 219 is the first offspring of black-type mare Cascading (Teofilo), a half-sister to Gr.1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère winner National Defense.
