SEA THE STARS enjoyed three Stakes winners in two days, with Babala becoming number 101 on Friday followed by Life In Motion and Flying Colours adding to their 2022 tally on Saturday.
Three-year-old Babala won the Listed Prix Charles Lafitte at Compiegne for owner/breeders Wertheimer & Frère to become her sire’s 101st individual Stakes winner. The filly is out of the Gr.1 Brazilian Oaks winner Viva Rafaela.
Another three-year-old, Life In Motion, won her second Stakes race in quick succession when landing the Listed Prix le Fabuleux at Chantilly. A Godolphin homebred, her dam is the Gr.1 Prix Saint-Alary winner Wavering.
Soon after, another horse carrying the Godolphin blue, two-year-old Flying Colours, stepped up to take the Gr.3 Zetland Stakes at Newmarket. Already a Listed winner, the colt, who is out of Group 3 winner Powder Snow, was last seen finishing third in the bunch finish of the Gr.2 Royal Lodge, and looks a nice prospect for next season.
