After her courageous win over Finsceal Beo in the Longchamp Classic, Darjina finished third in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot on rain-softened ground. Alain de Royer Dupré’s charge will meet her elders for the first time in the Astarté, a Group 1 event which marks the opening of the Deauville season.
Stablemate MANDESHA will be a leading attraction at Glorious Goodwood when she lines up in the Nassau Stakes on 4th August. The winner of three Group 1 events over a mile, ten furlongs and a mile and a half last year, MANDESHA was honoured as Europe’s leading three-year-old filly. She opened her account this year with victory in the Prix Corrida at Saint Cloud before going down narrowly to Mountain High on her debut against the opposite sex in the Grand Prix de Saint Cloud in June.
