Also a half sister to Gr I winners Edabiya and Enzeli, she was purchased by Sean Mulryan of Ardenode Stud for 925,000 euros on Saturday evening.
Commenting on his purchase, Mr. Mulryan noted: “I am building up a broodmare band and went for Ebaraya because of her pedigree. I have as yet no idea which stallion she will go to.”
Anaza, a stakes winning daughter of champion broodmare sire, Darshaan, and already dam of 8 winners from 10 foals including Group One winner Astarabad, continued the pattern when topping the sale on Sunday. She was knocked down to David Nagle of Barronstown Stud for 200,000 euros, and is carrying a ¾ brother or sister in blood to Astarabad.
Other notable purchases from the draft included Kerasana, daughter of stakes winner Keraka from the family of Kalanisi; the winning Danzig mare Tarziyana, in foal to Zafonic and Group One Winner Behera, who has already produced the Group Winning filly Bayrika. They realised €80,000, €78,000 and €60,000 respectively.
