In France, newcomer SIYOUNI is an exciting prospect for breeders; a Gr1 winner at two and Gr1 performer in 2010, SIYOUNI represents speed and precocity, as he won on 4 occasions at 2 yo, starting with his debuts in May. He went on to defeat Lope de Vega, Dick Turpin, Buzzword, Beethoven, Makfi, Paco Boy, Noble’s Promise and Hearts of Fire throughout his career. With the blood of Pivotal and Danehill on either side of his pedigree and a Stakes winning dam who is a half-sister to leading sire Slickly, SIYOUNI is also adequately priced at €7,000 for his first season at stud.
Sinndar is the sire of 55% of winners to runners, from his first French production (currently 3yos), and accounts for 20 overall Stakes winners. He remains the only sire to have won the English and Irish Derbies, as well as the Arc de Triomphe in the same year, and offers good value at €9,500.
In Ireland, DALAKHANI, multiple sire of Gr1 winners, covered an excellent and full book of mares in 2010 with a wide variety of distaff backgrounds, since he provides a complete Northern Dancer line outcross. This positions him well for the years to come. He will stand at €35,000 in 2011.
Azamour, leading young sire, had an excellent season on the racetrack and in the sales ring, with 11 Stakes winners/ performers, including Gr2 winner and Gr1 placed Eleanora Duse, and promising juveniles Native Khan, Lindenthaler, Mawaakef and Zoowra to look forward to for the coming season. His progeny also showed consistency, with 67% of winners to runners from his first crop. His yearlings were popular during the European yearling sales, averaging €58,372 and reaching up to 240,000gns. He will no doubt be very popular at €15,000.
Champion racehorse and Gilltown resident since 2010 SEA THE STARS will be covering at the fee of €85,000 for the 2011 season. He covered a remarkable book of mares in 2010, 90% of which are Gr1 performers, have produced Gr1 performers or are very closely related to Gr1 performers. His first foals are eagerly awaited.
