The Aga Khan Studs have released their fees for the 2012 breeding season.
At Gilltown Stud in Ireland:
- AZAMOUR: 15,000 Euros
- DALAKHANI: 40,000 Euros
- SEA THE STARS: 85,000 Euros
At Haras de Bonneval in France:
- SINNDAR: 9,500 Euros
- SIYOUNI: 7,000 Euros
With 24% 3 year-old Stakes performers to runners, AZAMOUR enjoyed another good year at the races, and was responsible for a top-priced 2 year-old (315,000 Gns) last Spring.
Following his two Classic winners in 2011, Reliable Man and Duncan, as well as a yearling average of 176,000 Euros at the main European sales, DALAKHANI will stand at 40,000 Euros.
As SEA THE STARS’ first foals enter the sales ring this week, the Champion racehorse has covered 97 black type winners and 98 dams of black type winners over the past two seasons, and his fee will remain at 85,000 Euros.
In France, Sinndar enjoyed another good season, as his daughter Shareta placed 2nd in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. At 9,500 Euros, Sinndar is one of the rare proven sires in France that keeps producing classy performers.
As for freshman sire Siyouni, who covered a full first book of mares after being syndicated, his fee remains at 7,000 Euros, which represents an attractive opportunity for breeders to use a juvenile Group 1 winner with a first class pedigree.
