Thanks partly to the excellent performances of Khalkevi, winner of the Group I Juddmonte Grand Prix de Paris in 2002, Kahyasi has once again attracted an excellent book of mares this season.
Among the mares already scanned in foal are Philip Michenot’s Missanticia, a winning half sister to Group I Prix Jacques Le Marois winner Miss Satamixa. Missanticia has already produced three winners from four foals of racing age, included Stakes placed Mentalité. Also in foal is the beautifully bred winning Wertheimer mare Secret Wells, a daughter of Sadler’s Wells and the Prix de l’Opera winner Athyka.
Haras du Mesnil’s multiple Stakes winner Turbotière is also due to be covered by Kahyasi, as is the Aga Khan Studs owned Shemissa, a daughter of Fairy King and Prix de Diane winner Shemaka.
