Sold to Gerard McStay of New Derra Stud at the Goffs February Sale in 2000, Livadiya has since won two premier handicaps. She took the Listed Golden Pages Handicap by six lengths in 2000, before being sold to run in the United States. The daughter of Shernazar received an injury when setting a new turf track record on her only run at Keeneland.
Livadiya’s trainer Harry Rogers commented after the race: “We were able to buy her back from the US and she showed last season that she had retained plenty of ability… If she comes out of the race okay she might run in the Listed Alleged Stakes over a mile and a quarter at Leopardstown on Saturday.”
