Calandagan starts his 2026 campaign in style

2025 World’s Best Racehorse Calandagan got his 2026 season off to the best possible start on Saturday with a victory in the Gr.1 Dubai Sheema Classic, a race in which he finished second last year. The five-year-old globetrotter – now the winner of five Group 1 races in four different countries - smoothly passed the rest of the field in the final few furlongs to win by a comfortable three-quarters of a length.
