Maltese Cross battles to Group 1 glory

Epsom Derby runner-up Maltese Cross went one better on Tuesday, fighting his way to victory in a bunch finish to the Grand Prix de Paris at ParisLongchamp that also included Zarak colt Varandir. He became the 25th Group 1 winner for his sire Sea The Stars, who also won this race with Sosie in 2024.
