Grey Swallow’s exploits have been widely publicised and he is now a leading contender for the 2,000 Guineas. The unbeaten son of Daylami is reported by his trainer to have wintered well: “He has grown and strengthened into a lovely horse since last season and has also developed mentally… He is a relaxed, laid-back individual, clean limbed and straightforward to train… He will either go straight for the 2,000 Guineas or run in the trial at Leopardstown first.”
From a team of 60 two year olds, Weld also highlighted a two year old half sister to Grey Swallow by first season sire Sinndar. “Moonlight Dance is quite forward but it will be May before she runs, over six furlongs.”
