Louvain an impressive winner for Sinndar

Louvain looks another classy prospect for promising first season sire Sinndar following her impressive victory at Maisons-Laffitte on Friday.

Settled at the back of the field until well into straight, she showed a decisive turn of foot to put daylight between herself and the rest of the field in a matter of strides. She passed the post eased down, three lengths ahead of her nearest rival.

Louvain had previously finished third and second over 4 ½ and five furlongs respectively in competitive novice events. Trainer Richard Gibson commented immediately after the race: “Louvain showed today that she has definite quality over six or seven furlongs, and she will be stepped up in class for her next outing.”

Sinndar is also the sire of Pictavia, an impressive maiden winner at Leopardstown before finishing second to Group II Queen Mary Stakes winner Damson in the Listed Swordlestown Stud Sprint Stakes.
