The Aga Khan Studs will offer a 19-strong draft at the forthcoming Goffs Breeding Stock Sale in Ireland on 21st and 22nd November. The consignment features Listed winner SILWANA and Stakes-producing SINDIRANA, both from the family of Sinndar, as well as a host of other representatives of prestigious Aga Khan maternal lines.
Lot 1362 SILWANA is a filly out of training who opened her Stakes account in 2015 with success in the Listed Loughbrown Stakes in September, and she is also runner-up in the Listed Challenge Stakes earlier in July. The four-year-old is a daughter of Peintre Célèbre and Simawa (Anabaa), a half-sister to dual Derby and Arc winner Sinndar. The Listed-placed Simawa has also produced Gr. 3 second Summaya.
SINDIRANA (Kalanisi), lot 1365 is also out of a half-sister to Sinndar. This broodmare, who was successful at Listed level during her racing career, has produced four winners to date including the Stakes-placed Sinkal, and is sold in foal to Intello.
Maiden mare EBEYINA (Oasis Dream), lot 1368 is a granddaughter of champion filly Ebadiyla, half-sister to Gr. 1 winners Edabiya, Enzeli and Estimate. A black-type performer herself, EBEYINA is a half-sister to Gr. 2 victrix Ebiyza and Stakes placed Ebayya. She has been covered by Kodiac. Lot 1545, dual winner ERDIYNA (Selkirk), also hails from this famous family.
One of the Aga Khan Studs most prolific families at stud is represented by lot 1360 DAWERA. The winning daughter of Spinning World is out of a half-sister to champion racehorse and top-class sire Darshaan and Darara, Gr. 1 winner on the track and in the paddocks.
Darara , dam of three Gr.1 winners, is a perfect example of an Aga Khan Studs mare who has gone on to produce at the highest level after being sold by her breeders. Over the past seven years, Aga Khan-bred dams have given birth to the winners of 21 Gr. 1 for new connections. In 2015 alone, mares bred and sold by the Aga Khan Studs have produced 11 black-type performers including Gr. 2 scorers Vadamos and Shimrano, and juvenile Stakes winner Almanzor.
Both Siyouma and Alpine Rose went on to score themselves at Gr.1 level after changing hands at breeding stock sales.
