Placed gelding HAZAMAR, out of a half-sister to dual Derby winner Harzand and trained by Michael Halford will be on offer at the next Goffs UK August Sale as lot 155. The grey son of Manduro showed promise as a juvenile last season when placed twice over seven furlongs and a mile. The second foal of his Listed-winning dam Hazarafa (Daylami), HAZAMAR is a half-brother to dual winner Harasava. Out of Gr. 3 winner Hazariya, Hazarafa is a half-sister to this year’s Epsom and Irish Derby scorer Harzand (Sea The Stars), and to Gr. 3 winner and Gr. 1 third Harasiya, in an excellent family also featuring Irish oaks placed Hazarista.
Twice a runner-up at three and four years, lot 154 ALAMGIYR is a gelded son of Desert Style and Listed winner Alaiyma (Refuse to Bend), who is a half-sister to Listed winner and Classic placed Alasha, dam of two Stakes performers.
Other interesting representatives of the Aga Khan Studs are the unraced pair KASHANI, lot 150, and DALITARI, lot 152. By Manduro, the former is a grandson of Irish St Leger winner Kastoria, while the latter is a son of Azamour, out of a Sadler’s Wells half-sister to Dalakhani and Daylami. DALITARI’s dam Dalataya has already produced four winners, including two Graded performers over hurdles.
The lightly-raced ESHAAN by Tamayuz, lot 151, boasts a top-class pedigree as his granddam is champion filly Ebadiyla, half-sister to Gr. 1 winners Enzeli, Estimate and Edabiya and dam of Gr. 1 winning hurdler Ebaziyan among her five Stakes performers. ESHAAN is himself a half-brother to three Stakes performers, including Gr. 2 winner Ebiyza.
