Sea La Rosa won her second Group race of the season on Saturday at Glorious Goodwood, bravely chasing down the long-time race leader Urban Artist to score by a length in the Gr.2 Lillie Langtry Stakes.
The improving four-year-old daughter of SEA THE STARS, bred by G B Partnership together with Ecurie des Monceaux, races in the colours of Sunderland Holding, having been purchased at the 2019 Arqana August Yearling Sale for €200,000 by Mandore International Agency.
Sea La Rosa is a full sister to the year-younger Deauville Legend, also a Group winner this season and most recently second in the Gr.3 Gordon Stakes at Goodwood last Thursday.
SEA THE STARS is currently the leading Irish-based stallion by 2022 blacktype winners (17), with only Dubawi and Frankel ahead of him in Europe. He has 14 yearlings catalogued to sell at this year’s Arqana August sale.
