Sinndar yearlings popular at Goffs

Thursday 29 September 2005

Sinndar yearlings averaged €128 000 at last week's Goffs Orby Million Sale

in Ireland, almost 10 times his 2005 covering fee.

The top priced yearling, bought by John Ferguson for €200 000, is a filly out of the Indian Ridge mare Interpose and was consigned by the Irish National Stud. Interpose's dam won the Group 2 Prix Maurice de Gheest and bred the Stakes winners Short Pause and Cheyenne Dream.

Also pictured is the Sinndar filly purchased by Gilltown Stud out of Four Roses, herself a half sister to Group 3 winner Germane and the Listed winning colt Fabriano. Consigned by Abbeville and Meadow Court Studs, Four Sins fetched €120 000. The third Sinndar representative was a bay colt out of the Listed winner Likely Story. A half brother to Squaw Dance, he was knocked down to Martin Cullinane for €65 000.
