Seven AK-bred three-year-old colts from John Oxx’s Currabeg Stables will go under the hammer during Doncaster’s horses in training sale on 31st January. These feature the un-raced trio Elbistan (Lot 477), a Peintre Célèbre son of a winning full sister to Irish Oaks and Ascot Gold Cup winner Ebadiyla, Daraiym (Lot 478), a Peintre Célèbre half-brother to top stayer Darasim and Mourad (Lot 415), a Sinndar colt out of Gr 2 Prix de Royallieu victrix Mouramara.
Seven potential broodmares from the Aga Khan Studs are entered in the catalogue for Goffs Ireland’s February Sale. Among those to pass through the ring will be Zamindar filly SHAIYADIMA (Lot 736), whose Gr 2-winning second dam Sharamana is a half-sister to Shergar, Sirindiya (Lot 749), daughter of a half-sister to Sinndar, and Dabiyra (Lot 897), a Linamix half-sister to Gr 3 placed Dabiroun who is also a Listed scorer over hurdles.
A further eight females form the Aga Khan’s consignment to be sold on 19th February at Arqana’s Mixed Sale. These include two fillies directly descended from Petite Etoile, a line which produced 2007 top European filly Zarkava. Zariyana is an unraced Desert King daughter of winning mare Zariliya, herself own sister to Gr 3 winner and sire Zayyani. Zayada is out of proved broodmare sire Kahyasi. KAZIYMA is a daughter of the half-sister to Group winners Kassani and Kassana, the latter who produced Irish St Leger winner Kastoria. Kalanisi filly SHARAGA, is out of a winning mare from the family of Shergar and is the half-sister to Sharbayan who lifted the Gr 3 Prix du Lys. Montjeu filly Restia is from the Jean-Luc Lagardère bloodline of Prix de Diane winner Resless Kara.
