Dual Classic and King George-winning sire DALAKHANI is the most numerically represented in the August catalogue with ten yearlings entered and one of these will set the ball rolling for the sale as the first youngster to enter the ring. This beautifully-bred colt is a half-brother to dual Gr 3 scorer Marionnaud and to multiple Group-placed Rock Moss. His dam was twice runner up at Gr 3 level and she is half-sister to Gr 1 winner and sire Sholokov and to the dam of Irish Derby hero Soldier of Fortune. Lot 33’s dam is a daughter of Sadler’s Wells and American Gr 1 winner Bequest, and she has already produced one winner. Lot 52 is the second son of an unraced full sister to Gr 1 third Acropolis and lot 88 is the third offspring of a winning full sister to Listed winners Ballarat and Hijaz, the latter being the dam of DALAKHANI’s Gr 3 winning daughter Deem. A half-brother to Gr 1 Prix Saint-Alary victrix Ask For The Moon is presented as Lot 95, and Lot 103 is a half-brother to three winners including one at Listed level. The last of the seven DALAKHANI yearlings to pass through the ring on Friday’s opening session will be Lot 115, out of a Sadler’s Wells mare who is the full sister to Gr 3 winner Palme d’Or and half-sister to dual Gr 1 winner and sire Pistolet Bleu. The colt has three half-siblings who have won on the racecourse. DALAKHANI’s three other progeny will all be sold on the Saturday and these are: Lot 134, the first offspring of a Sadler’s Wells half-sister to Gr 1 winner Consolidator and Stakes winner Mycatcandance, Lot 172, the third foal of a Gr 3 winning mare, and Lot 205, whose fourth dam is Oaks and Guineas heroine Sweet Solera.
Champion older racehorse AZAMOUR recently celebrated his third victory as a sire with his first crop and he has three yearlings at Deauville over the first two days. Lot 50 is out of Gr 2 Prix de l’Opéra winner Clodora and as such is a half-brother to Classic winner and sire Clodovil. Lot 145 is similarly well-bred, being a half-brother to Vahorimix who lifted the Poule d’Essai des Poulains, and closely related to the late National stud sire Val Royal. Lot 147’s dam is from a prolific family and the Kendor mare is a full sister to Listed winner and Group performer Welcome Millenium and half-sister Gr 1 third Ximb, Listed winner Verba and the dam of dual Gr winner Pinson.
SINNDAR was on the scoresheet during Glorious Goodwood courtesy of his useful dual-purpose daughter Sweetheart and he is also represented by three yearlings at the ARQANA sale. Lot 264 is a half-brother to the ultra-tough and consistent Group winner Kandidate and to Star Valley, also successful at Gr 3 level. Lot 347 is the second foal of dual winner Queen’s Conquer, whose dam is a full sister to champion filly Sayyedati, and Lot 398 is a half-brother to three winners, out of Listed victrix Angelina Carolina.
