Zaynar and Alpine Rose are the most recent examples of AK graduates presented at public sale to go on to register top-level success and buyers will have an opportunity to invest in more potential champions at ARQANA’s forthcoming Arc sale.
The AK Studs will present a select bunch of five winning three-year-old colts, representing some leading bloodlines. Of the quintet, Lot 19 VARENAR has been the most successful to date on the racecourse, winning three races and being placed in three Group events including a fourth place in the Gr 1 Prix Maurice de Gheest. The colt could have an opportunity to add to his black-type as he is entered in the Gr 1 Prix de la Forêt on the day of the sale. VARENAR is a son of Rock of Gibraltar and prolific broodmare Visor. He is therefore a half-brother to Poule d’Essai des Poulains third Visionary, Group winners Visorama and Visindar, and to the Group-placed dam of Gr 3 scorer Visionario.
Lot 24 Zaidpour (Red Ransom) is from a family proven under both codes, being out of Gr 1 Prix de Diane heroine Zainta who has already produced Gr 1 Triumph Hurdle champion Zaynar. Zainta is the half sister to French champion hurdler Zaiyad, and this is also the family of the exceptional Zarkava.
Out of a full sister to Arc hero Sagamix and Gr 2 winner Sage et Jolie, SAGARIAN (Cape Cross) has won over both a mile and a mile and a half. He is offered as Lot 6. From the same family, Lot 7 Sadiri (Dr Fong) is a son of Gr 2 winner Sage et Jolie and is half-brother to Gr 1 Prix d’Ispahan winner Sageburg.
Finally, Lot 26 ALMORADI (Barathea), a dual winner this year, is the first offspring of an unraced half-sister to Gr 1 1,000 Guineas third Alasha, from the family of Alamshar and recent Irish St Leger winner Alandi.
