Breeders will have an opportunity to invest in The Aga Khan’s bloodlines at the forthcoming Goffs Mixed Sale on 10 February. The three-strong consignment includes Lot 471, SHAIYZIMA, who is proven both on the track and in the paddocks. The daughter of Polish Precedent won twice as a racehorse, and has produced the winner, Shiyrman. SHAIYZIMA is out of the Gr 3 Prix de Lutèce scorer Shaiybara (Kahyasi) whose progeny also features dual-purpose performer Shaiyran. The family is strong in black type under both codes as SHAIYZIMA shares her grand dam with Pattern performers King’s Show and Timber King over jumps, and her third dam’s descendants include Gr 1 Sussex Stakes winner and sire Proclamation. SHAIYZIMA had a colt foal by Azamour in 2009 and is carrying a foal to Exceed And Excel.
Four-year-old Daylami filly MARIYCA (Lot 429) won as a juvenile in Ireland and is the half-sister to three-time winner Maysa. Her third dam is the precocious Masarika who lifted the Group 1 Prix Robert Papin and Group 3 Prix du Bois before taking the Group 1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches. Masarika also enjoyed great success in the breeding shed, producing Group winners Massyar and Madjaristan as well as the dam of Gr 1 champions Eagle Mountain and Sulk.
Unraced four-year-old filly KHARIANA (Lot 404), by Barathea, is out of a winning dam by Darshaan and is half-sister to another winner. Her second dam is black-type performer Khatara while her third dam Khanata won the Listed 1000 Guineas Trial and took third place in the Group 2 Pretty Polly Stakes. Fourth dam Kozana was runner-up in the Group 1 Prix du Moulin and third in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and she is the grand-dam of dual Derby and Breeders’ Cup Turf hero High Chaparral.
The trio will all pass through the Goffs ring on the second day of the two-day sale, on 10th February.
