The sale in which future Group 1 French Champion Hurdle winner Mandali (Sinndar) was purchased will once again host an exciting delegation from the Aga Khan Studs. This year’s draft includes four winners and a dual placed colt, all aged three.
Alain de Royer Dupré will be sending three colts from the Aiglemont yard in Chantilly, including VALAMAR. This son of Pivotal won nicely at Longchamp by two lengths earlier this year and with five starts, was only once out of the money. He is the first offspring of dual Group 3 winner Vadapolina, a half-sister to Group 1 winner Vadawina.
From the same family comes GANDALAK, a son of Oasis Dream who looks to have inherited some of his speed, having won his last start over five and a half furlongs very easily by more than three lengths. He finished in the money in six of his eight starts.
Mikel Delzangles will be presenting two winners, including lightly raced SHALAMZAR. This son of Selkirk won his maiden at Longchamp and is from a solid Aga Khan family featuring Group 1 winners such as Shareta and Shawanda.
The grey colt BERABANI (Lawman) is a half-brother to Hong Kong Group 1 winner Mighty High (ex Berouni). He is a horse open to improvement, having won recently in October at Saint-Cloud over a mile after recording two second places earlier this year.
