The Aga Khan Studs have confirmed that the Australian Champion sire Redoute’s Choice (Danehill) will return in 2014 to cover a new northern hemisphere season at Haras de Bonneval. Redoute’s Choice’s exceptional achievements make his renewed presence in Europe a rare opportunity for breeders.
His progeny recorded two further Classic victories this season, and Redoute’s Choice tally of Group 1 winners now stands at 23, including 7 at 2yos. He also had a 100th individual Stakes winner this year, the only active Australasian sire with such a record. Finally, he has an exceptional percentage of lifetime percentage of winners to runners of 76,4%.
In 2013, Redoute’s Choice also leads the sire averages at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale for the ninth consecutive year, and holds a new record of 5 Million AUS for the half-brother to Black Caviar. His sales average stands at AUD 547,339 (approx. €380,000).
Redoute’s Choice had a very successful first season at the Aga Khan Studs in 2013 and covered a quality book of mares. The breeders who were able to view him at stud admired his imposing conformation and excellent temperament.
Redoute’s Choice covered 105 mares, of which 84 are in foal at October 1st. Amongst them are the likes of the unbeaten Champion filly Zarkava, the dam of Champion mare Goldikova and the sister of stallion Turtle Bowl, to name but a few.
The stallion -currently back at Arrowfield Stud- will return to Normandy at the beginning of 2014. By then, he will have covered 120 mares, at the price of AUD 137,500, (approx. 95,000 €).
