Breeders and the wider public will enjoy an exclusive opportunity to visit the Aga Khan Studs of Gilltown and Bonneval as the 2014 breeding season starts to get underway.
Gilltown Stud, located in the centre of the Kildare region of Ireland, will open its gates on 24th & 25th January for viewing of resident stallions Sea The Stars, Dalakhani and AZAMOUR between 10am and 4pm.
Champion racehorse Sea The Stars made an extremely positive start to his stud career in 2013 with 12 winners including Group 3 winner My Titania from his first crop of juveniles.
Established sires Dalakhani and AZAMOUR have recently returned from their first shuttle seasons in Australia and New Zealand respectively. The pair were well-received by breeders during a season in which Dalakhani was represented by Group 1 winners Reliable Man and Seismos.
In France, the Haras de Bonneval will receive visitors on 1st February as part of the annual “Route des Etalons” weekend. Situated in the heart of Normandy, Haras de Bonneval welcomes back Champion sire Redoute’s Choice for a second Northern Hemisphere season. The father of the winners of 33 Group 1 contests and recently of his 64th millionaire yearling will be accompanied by the proven sire and broodmare sire SINNDAR and the promising SIYOUNI. The trio will be available for viewing from 9am until 4.30pm.
Refreshments will be available for visitors at both studs.
