This first Stakes success was long overdue for the four year old filly who had previously finished fourth in the French 1,000 Guineas, second in the Group II Pretty Polly Stakes and third in the Group II Goffs International Stakes.
Her trainer Kevin Prendergast outlined her early season campaign, commenting: “She does like ease in the ground and will come back here for the Gladness Stakes. The Tattersalls Gold Cup in May is also a target.”
By Key Of Luck (also sire of the promising three year old Alamshar, winner of the Group III Beresford Stakes), Wrong Key is out of the Aga Khan bred Kahyasi mare Sarifa.
Kahyasi is also the sire of the incredible broodmare Hasili, dam of Champion Filly Banks Hill, Juddmonte stallion Dansili, and 2003 Classic prospect Intercontinental.
