Karatash

The Aga Khan Studs send a varied consignment to the forthcoming Goffs Horses In Training sale, with 17 three- and four-year-olds, both male and female.

Of those already proven on the racetrack, Karatash and Zabarajad have both earned black type. The former is a lightly-raced Halling colt who won on his debut before taking third in the Listed Nijinsky Stakes over a mile and three furlongs at Leopardstown for trainer John Oxx. He is from the family of high-class dual purpose performer Kasthari. His stablemate Zabarajad (Invincible Spirit) is a winner and Listed runner-up, grandson of the Gr.1 Poule d’Essai des Pouliches winner Zalaiyka.

A number of the remaining entries have already enjoyed success and these include Ebazan, winner over ten furlongs at The Curragh. This colt is a Lemon Drop Kid half-brother to Group 3 winner Emiyna and their dam is from a prolific high class Aga Khan family. Vedani has also won over 10 furlongs at The Curragh and this well-bred Dalakhani colt is out of a Sadler’s Wells half-sister to Valanour and Vereva.

Zabarajad

Placed three-year-olds Daliyan (Red Ransom) and Diyala (Tiger Hill) are respectively out of half-sisters to the top-class Daliapour, closely related to Darshaan and blue hen Darara. The filly Diyala therefore offers an exciting opportunity to invest in this top Aga Khan line for breeding.

The other filly of the consignment is Tawariyka, an American-bred daughter of Forest Wildcat, from the family of Top Ville, who has won and been placed in Ireland for Michael Halford.

Other top families represented in this consignment rich in potential for the flat or jumps are those of Shahrastani, Timarida and Alamshar.
