Owned and bred by Wertheimer & Frère, Focus had already established himself as a talented juvenile, placing three times at Stakes level and finishing in the first four in all six of his previous outings. Stepping up once again at Craon, the two-year-old showed an impressive turn of foot in the straight, quickening smartly to take command and win with ease.

Siyouni has now joined the elite club of stallions to have sired 100 Stakes winners, building on a remarkable success story. Having started his stud career at a fee of €7,000, he has sired winners of major Group 1 races throughout Europe, including the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, Prix du Jockey Club, Prix de Diane, Poule d’Essai des Poulains, Irish 1,000 Guineas, Coronation Stakes and St James’s Palace Stakes.

He has recorded 11 Stakes winners this year, including three promising two-year-olds, and ranks among the top ten stallions by both number of Stakes winners and the ratio of Stakes winners to runners.
