NAZIRALI, a son of Haras de Bonneval’s Kahyasi, came late to win the Grade II San Luis Obispo Handicap at Santa Anita and is due to switch to Group I company for his next outing.
NAZIRALI is out of Naziriya, a Darshaan half-sister to Prix du Jockey Club winner Natroun, and is also closely related to Group I winners Vereva, Valanour, Vayraan and Yashgan. He was bought out of the Goffs France November horses-in-training sale before winning both in France and on his debut in the States. From six runs he has won three races and finished second in all his other starts.
On his second US start SHARBAYAN, a European Group winning son of Doyoun out of the Kahyasi mare Sharbata, was an impressive winner of a nine furlong allowance race at Keeneland. Bought privately out of the Aga Khan’s French stables last Summer, SHARBAYAN looks to have a bright future ahead of him in the States.
Finally, KABYLIA won on her second Stateside start when taking a mile allowance race at Santa Anita in impressive style. This was following an eye-catching debut in the US when just failing to peg back Group I Nassau Stakes runner up Snowflake in a Santa Anita turf allowance race. By Brief Truce, KABYLIA is out of Shardari mare Kadassa, who is a half sister to proven Group I sire Kahyasi and from the family of Group I winners Milan, and Key Change. KABYLIA was sold at the Agence Francaise December Sales, having won easily on her final French start at Fontainebleau.
