Legend Of Time scored a third consecutive win of 2024 and his first Stakes victory when taking the Listed Jumeirah Classic on Super Saturday at Meydan under a hands and heels ride.
The three-year-old is the second new Stakes winner for his sire SEA THE STARS at this year’s Dubai Racing Carnival, after the success of Silver Lady in the Gr.2 Cape Verdi in January. SEA THE STARS is also the sire of Ottoman Fleet, second in this year’s Gr.1 Jebel Hatta.
“He’s won the series now and probably 1800 metres is more to his liking,” said Legend Of Time’s rider William Buick, referring to the colt’s other wins in the Jumeirah Guineas Trial and the Jumeirah Guineas itself. “He’s an exciting horse for the rest of the season. The American Turf Derby series over there might suit him.”
Legend Of Time - who was bred by Lordship Stud in partnership with Sunderland Holding and sold at Tattersalls Book 2 in 2022 - is the 117th blacktype winner worldwide for SEA THE STARS.
