FOUR SINS is a three-year-old daughter of dual Derby winner and Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe hero Sinndar. Bred in Germany by Graf & Grafin Von Stauffenberg before being purchased for 120,000 € by Gilltown Stud on behalf of HH the Aga Khan at the Goffs Orby Sale, FOUR SINS has already registered one Group win, lifting the Gr.3 Blue Wind Stakes at Naas in May. She went on to finish fourth in the Epsom Oaks and has now added the Gr.2 Blandford Stakes to her roll of honour.
Trainer John Oxx believes that FOUR SINS could be well suited by American racing in the future.
Sinndar, who also won the prestigious National Stakes (Gr.1) as a juvenile, is a son of Grand Lodge and out of Listed-winner Sinntara (Lashkari). He is from the direct family of leading sire Darshaan.
Sinndar is the sire of Gr.1 winners Shawanda and Youmzain and other Group performers include Aqaleem, Moonlight Dance, Pictavia and Visindar.
Kahyasi’s daughter VAREVEES’ success in Sunday’s Gr.3 Prix Gladiateur takes her tally of wins to eight in sixteen outings, including two Listed contests. The progressive four-year-old stayer was participating in her second Group event, having finished fifth in the Gr.2 Prix Kergorlay at Deauville in August.
VAREVEES won the two-mile Prix Gladiateur by a neck on good ground. The race is a principal trial for the Gr.1 Prix du Cadran on the Arc de Triomphe card and the filly should be even better if there is more ease in the ground for France’s major staying event.
Like Sinndar, Kahyasi is a dual Derby winner. The son of Ile de Bourbon has sired five Group 1 winners. He is an outstanding broodmare sire and his progeny have also been successful over jumps.
