Azada

2021 b. f. Siyouni - Azmiyna (Galileo)

Trained by Dermot Weld

The way she won there you would think there is every possibility she could win a Group race next year.
Dermot Weld

Azada is a daughter of Siyouni out of Azmiyna, making her a half-sister to Australian champion The Autumn Sun.

Trained by Dermot Weld, Azada made a notable debut as a two-year-old, winning a fillies' maiden over seven furlongs at Leopardstown in October 2023. At three, she secured victory in the Listed Garnet Stakes by more than two lengths over a mile at Naas in October 2024, after placing third in the Listed Celebration Stakes at the Curragh in June. This progressive filly seems to be going from strength to strength and has been kept in training at four.

She is bred on the successful Siyouni x Galileo cross, and her dam, Azmiyna, is a sister to champion Azamour. She returned from Australia after producing five-time Group 1 winner The Autumn Sun and has another smart prospect in the three-year-old Azimpour (by Dubawi), who won on debut at ParisLongchamp at two.
